Field Service Technician - Nationwide 

J.H. Fletcher & Co., a manufacturer of underground mining machinery, has an immediate opening for a Mining Equipment Field Service Technician. The skilled job will require expertise in electrical, hydraulics, troubleshooting and engineering. Prime territories include Nashville, TN, Knoxville, TN, Clarksville, TN, and Hopkinsville, KY, but applications will be accepted nationwide. The job will require driving to underground mine locations in surrounding areas to service different types of Fletcher equipment. Current training documentation from MSHA, as well as any additional machine training and experience in the operation and/or servicing of underground mining equipment is a plus. The applicant will be required to work irregular hours and complete jobs within specific deadlines. The job will include a fully equipped service truck. Relocation assistance available for the right candidate.

Field Service Technician​

​

J.H. Fletcher & Co., a manufacturer of large mobile equipment, has an immediate opening for a Fletcher Engineered Solutions (FES) Field Service Technician. The skilled job will require expertise in electrical, hydraulics, troubleshooting and engineering. Position will install, perform repairs, and audit J.H. Fletcher & Co. FES equipment at customer locations. Performs standard work assignments, without supervision, according to needs of the customer and company. The applicant will be required to work irregular hours and complete jobs within specific deadlines. The job will include a company vehicle.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Technical, mechanical and troubleshooting abilities to define and perform maintenance and repairs on J.H. Fletcher & Co. without supervision to meet standards

  • Maintain a valid driver’s license and the ability to operate company service trucks and follow DOT regulations

  • Ability to read and comprehend technical service manuals

  • Ability to use hand tools, welders, micrometer and other tools

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds

  • Working in hot environment (steel mills)

  • Experience in hydraulics and structural engineering

  • Travel required (primarily by flight) – 75% of the time

Preferred:

  • 4yr engineering degree (preferred)

  • Work experience equivalent

  • Fluid Power Certified ( able to achieve)

  • AWS Certified welder (able to achieve)

Line Borer Technician​

 

J.H. Fletcher & Co., a manufacturer of large mobile equipment, has an immediate opening for a Line Borer Technician. We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to operate and maintain line boring equipment. Performs standard work assignments, without supervision, according to the needs of the customer and company. The applicant will be required to work irregular hours and complete jobs within specific deadlines. The job will include a fully equipped service truck.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Maintain a valid driver’s license and the ability to operate company service trucks and follow DOT regulations

  • Certified Welder

  • Ability to read and comprehend technical drawings and specifications

  • Proven Experience as a Line Borer Technician or similar role.

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds

  • Travel required

  • Hydraulic Knowledge

Worldwide leader in the manufacture of heavy mobile machinery has a job opening for a Field Service Engineer who will be responsible for providing customers of J.H. Fletcher & Co. with superior mining industry service support and training. This candidate will need to be able to diagnose and assist customers in the repair of Fletcher machines, maintain knowledge of new machines, as well as stay current on MSHA regulations. This position requires the candidate be willing to travel 75% of the time.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Required;

· 3-5 years’ experience as a technical instructor (or equivalent)

· Part 75 & Part 77 MSHA Unlimited Instructor (Code IS, IU, EE, EC)

· Proficient with Microsoft Word programs: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc

Preferred:

· Hydraulic knowledge and experience

· Mechanical experience

· IFPS Fluid Power Certification (or equivalent)

· Knowledge of current J.H. Fletcher & Co. systems (AS400, TeamCenter)

 

JOB DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

· Diagnosing and assisting customers in the repair of Fletcher machines

· Maintaining knowledge of new machines, parts, circuits, etc.

· Staying current on all MSHA regulations

· Instructing employees/customers on MSHA requirements

· Interpreting hydraulic and electrical schematics well enough to instruct the circuit

· Other duties as assigned
